Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is about both well being and problems.  It draws on theories and practices of psychoanalysis. It is a therapeutic treatment that helps patients understand and resolve their problems by increasing awareness of their inner world and its influence over relationships both past and present.   The work is centered on helping people understand and change complex, deep-seated and often unconsciously based emotional and relationship problems. This includes many people who experience a loss of meaning in their lives or who are seeking a greater sense of fulfillment.

Working in a way that provides safety for the patient an me is most important.  Training to a professional standard and maintaining that standard is a requirement for anyone who wishes to be considered a professional.  For a psychoanalytic psychotherapist it is more, it is having been through the same work we ask others to engage in and for some continuous clinical supervision to support our continued awareness

Please call me to have a conversation about what I offer and how it may be of help in your situation. BAsed on that conversation we may then schedule an assessment session. During that session we will go into more detail about what you are comeing to therapy for and also more informaiton about the way I work.

Psychotherapy and counselling may be short term or long term based on the needs of the client and the work that needs to take place.
